€32M For Wave Energy Tech, Vycarb’s Pre-seed Round, and Water-Soluble Plastic

Plus NOWRDC's 2024 Symposium, Katapult and Braid Theory’s New Cohorts, and French E-methanol

Ocean Friends,

I took last week off for Indigenous Peoples’ Day and missed a lot of awesome OceanTech news. So much in fact, that I have to tweak this week’s newsletter format to get the articles I want to highlight here.

Some special announcements:

One of my absolute favorite organizations, the National Offshore Wind Research & Development Consortium, announced that its annual symposium is now open for registration. I will definitely be there this year.

Both Braid Theory and Katapault Ocean announced their latest cohort of startups. Check these companies out, some of my favorite early-stage startups are in there.

WINGS, a global organization funding women in research, is hosting a global Explorers Forum in NYC this week.

Enjoy this week’s newsletter! Lots of great funding announcements.

Best,

Will
